Close-up of the invasive seaweed and the extract after the arsenic is pulled off.
Pulled off
Inorganic arsenic rides in the invasive sargassum. It is assayed and taken off the lot before fucoidan, iodine, or alginate is poured. It is not bottled. Lead and cadmium sit in the same assay. A lot that fails does not become an oil.
Never in the oil
Annona seed stays out. Datura and aristolochia are not on the pour list. No tincture, no teaspoon.
On the glass
Each comfort-oil lot carries a number. That number is the blockchain line from seed to sale: planting, SoilBooster, harvest, the three-day bain-marie, bottling, the shop or Shirley’s handoff. Every product on this bench — the comfort oil, SoilBooster, the extracts, the salve, the gummies, the candle and the soap — is tested at SwissX Labs Zurich and at the Department of Analytical Services, Antigua and Barbuda. No carbon-credit dollar figure on this bottle.
Two prices. $42 for 30 ml. $114 for three.
